What is the role of an EYSAC national representative?

• The EYSAC National Representatives Committee are the young ambassadors of ESSO, providing the link between the broader network and local surgical societies and hospitals within countries/regions.
• They help increase the visibility of ESSO within countries/regions and, possibly, increase ESSO membership.
• National representatives help to broaden the perspective of ESSO, sharing the standards of care, innovations, opportunities and challenges in their local setting to the rest of the EYSAC members.
• They can initiate such broader conversations or share ideas for collaborative projects as EYSAC National Representatives. These can contribute to improving and harmonising standards for surgical oncology training, patient care & research globally.
